Resist is searching for awesome middle and high school students to join our movement and help fight tobacco in Kansas. Our very own Resist council members will be delivering five, one-day trainings in every region of Kansas (check out the dates and locations below.) At these trainings, teens will learn about tobacco products, big tobacco’s marketing tactics and what can be done to counteract their influence on Kansas teens.
Dodge City, Kan.
We suggest that you apply as part of a team of at least two young people and one adult adviser. Each individual will fill out their own registration form, but each team will have to pick a team name so we know who is on the same team. What counts as a team? It can be you and a few friends, or a pre-existing team or group –say, a club you’re in at school that focuses on activism, the environment or empowering students. Each team will leave with an action plan to implement within their community.
**Please note, the main responsibilities of an adviser are to ensure that each team can get to and from the training safely, as well as just a general point of contact.**
